Strawberry Papaya

For all of those avid fish-avoiders, this is the smoothie for you. Although salmon is the heart of the omega family, papaya is also full of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Greek yogurt and fresh strawberries will add some protein and flavor. It’s the best of everything in one cup.
Ingredients

1/2 cup Strawberries
1 cup Papaya, sliced
1 cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Water and Crushed Ice
1 Scoop Of Vanilla Profusion also used Eat the Bear both only sold at your local West Coast Nutrition Store.

Directions

Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend, pour and enjoy!

Pina Colada Protein Smoothie

Break out your blender and grab some ice! Try this delicious smoothie recipe save yourself the cash, calories, and insulin spikes, and make your own smoothies at home! Real fruit and whole ingredients are much tastier than corn-syrupy puree, anyway. This is refreshing smoothies that are packed with protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants. Enjoy this healthy treat. This is a great treat for a fruity break from your normal protein shake. You won’t be disappointed.
Ingredients

1/2 cup Pineapple, chopped
1/2 frozen Banana
1 scoop Vanilla we used Profusion Protein and also did this with Eat The Bear “Only sold at your WCN Store ”
1/2 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk
1/2 cup Water and Crushed Ice

Directions

Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend, pour, and enjoy!

Protein Cookies that taste AMAZING

Combine

2 eggs
1/3 Cup Brown sugar
1/2 Cup Unsweetened applesauce
2/3 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Add 4 Scoops of Chocolate Profussion
2 Cups oats
3/4 Flaxseed meal and finally 1 tsp baking soda. Mix all together and then spoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 350 F for 10 min. Enjoy!! These are so darn good these are one of our household favorite treat’s.

Quinoa Tabouli Salad with Chicken

1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup uncooked Quinoa
3/4 Cup Fresh parsley leaves
1/2 Cup thinly sliced celery
1/2 Cup thinly sliced green onions
1/2 Cup Cucumbers
1/2 Cup finely chopped tomatoes
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon salt & black pepper

Preparation:

1. Bring water and quinoa to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Spoon into a bowl; fluff with a fork and let cool. Add parsley, celery, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and any other vegetables you have on hand.

2. Whisk lemon juice, olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Add to quinoa mixture, and toss well. I added chicken and it was off the hook!

Banana Bread Protein Style

2 egg whites
1 egg
1/3 cup applesauce
1 cup brown rice flour
1 cup Spelenda granulated
2 scoop Vanilla Profusion or Eat the Bear Whey Vanilla protein
2 ripe banana Smashed
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Mix Apple sauce protein, and banana together in a large mixing bowl. Add everything else but the flour mix everything so it is blended evenly then add flour and mix until it is evenly. Pour into a greased 4×8 bread pan and put in oven. Bake for 25-40 mins and enjoy

Double Chocolate Cupcake

1 Scoop of Profussion Chocolate
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup of egg whites
1/8 tsp vanilla
1 pinch baking powder
1.5 oz all natural apple sauce
1 tbsp fat-free Greek yogurt plain

Direction: Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Place cupcake foil liners in a cupcake pan, Mix everything together until batter is smooth. Pour batter into liners. Bake for 10-16 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

Calories 176, Protein 26g, Fat 2g, 15 g carbs

Peanut Butter Balls

Peanut Butter Balls

Knead chocolate or unflavored protein into natural peanut butter.
I used Profusion Chocolate which made the best chocolate peanut butter ball!
Keep them in the fridge for a quick snack.

Mocha Frappuccino Starbucks has nothing on this

Mocha Frappuccino

1 cup brewed coffee
Ice cubes
1/2 scoop chocolate Profussion protein powder (you can use vanilla too, it just won’t be “mocha”)
2 Tablespoons skim milk or Silk unsweetened soymilk
1 packet calorie-free sweetener

1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour coffee over.

2. In a separate small mug, combine Profussion protein, milk, and sweetener. Mix with a fork until lump-free. Pour over coffee, add a straw and enjoy! (Especially since it didn’t cost you 5 bucks!)

The protein powder I use is Profusion Chocolate or Vanilla. I use both vanilla and chocolate, and think it’s delicious! You can pick it up here: at West Coast Nutrition Enjoy!
